Over Fifty years in engineering design, fabrication and construction!
Leask Engineering was established in 1958 by Ray Leask to service the needs of the surrounding rural community. Next came structural steelwork throughout New Zealand for many buildings â–¬ 70-80 schools, freezing works and factories.
When a local English farming family showed Ray Leask a picture in an English magazine of a herringbone milking parlour made of wood, he built one of galvanised pipe. This launched our reputation as farm milking parlour building experts. Many innovations have been designed and/or manufactured by Leask Engineering for efficient herd movement, milking comfort and speed of milking operations. These include adjustable head-rail system, roof-mounted stallwork, backing gates, pit-operated drafting to holding pens, pit-operated exit gates, entry gates, vet headlock gates, drop rails in animal handling areas and backing gate mounted yard wash. Leask Engineering grew alongside New Zealands’ burgeoning reputation for low-cost, quality milk harvesting into a company that provides premium dairy parlour stallwork, yarding and equipment used throughout the world.
